Community support allows Hospice Brazos Valley to provide award-winning hospice care to all regardless of ability to pay. Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult challenges any of us will face. When you support HBV you ensure that extraordinary end of life care, grief counseling and support, and community education remain available to all of your friends and neighbors when they need it most.

HBV places a high value on patient care.  Therefore, our average expense per patient care day exceeds the average reimbursement from Medicare & Medicaid.  Your support fills the gap and ensures the best hospice care is available to all, regardless of ability to pay.

Grateful families of hospice patients often ask how to thank us for the care provided to their loved one.  Honor their memory and express gratitude by making a donation which ensures that the same compassionate care your loved one experienced is available to everyone.

Patients who received hospice services lived on average 29 days longer than those who did not receive hospice care according to a 2007 study.  Your gifts provide others with the treasured gift of more quality time spent making memories with loved ones.

Your generosity can create a ripple effect that will be felt for generations of Central Texans. Through a contribution to the Hospice Brazos Valley Living Endowment, you can amplify Hospice Brazos Valley’s ability to care for future generations. The Hospice Brazos Valley Living Endowment gives you the unique ability to provide care that celebrates a journey’s end in the same remarkable manner in which it began.

SINCE 1989

Heart & Hands

2020 has clearly been an unprecedented year for our organization; in the midst of new and significant challenges, we were able to continue our service to others because of the financial support we received from so many in the communities we serve.  While we are always grateful for our community partners, we are especially grateful for all those who supported our mission in 2020. Each gift provided the extra resources that not only helped prevent the disruption of our services but also insured that we were able to provide the same high level of compassionate and dignified care that people have come to expect from Hospice Brazos Valley for over 30 years.  As part of the silver lining that is always present in difficult times, financial support arrived this year from unexpected sources. We offer a deep, heartfelt word of appreciation to the Leslie L. Alexander Foundation for its unexpected and profound support. To all who shared their financial support in 2020 we say: Thank you! Because you cared for us, we were able to care for others. You truly occupy a special place in the heart of our organization.
