THE CARE

corner newsletter

Welcome to our new, in-house newsletter!
The newsletter will be delivered to your inbox every other Monday.
The new name "The CARE Corner" highlights our core values and each section will be dedicated to highlighting the HBV values of: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, & Excellence.
It's a great way to stay connected to all the key information within Hospice Brazos Valley.  Enjoy!

COMPASSION

Serving All With Dignity

Fundraisers like Hog Splash, slated for August 28, 2021, help us continue to extend compassion and serve all with dignity, regardless of their ability to pay. We partnered with the BOMBERS for a KICKOFF PARTY to get the community excited about signing up their team. CEO Craig Borchardt threw out a great pitch! We rented the party deck and talked to people about our mission of extending compassion to the community. If you know someone interested in registering a team, click below to view the online team registration form or text a friend the

ACCOUNTABILITY

Got an HBV Polo? Want one?

We all want to look styling in our HBV gear.  Holli Johnson, shown modeling our comfortable bright green polo, has a catalogue and prices for all of your Hospice Brazos Valley apparel needs. Email her to arrange a time to order your styling work wardrobe!  Best part is, you do not have to pay online or write a check. You tell Holli what you want and what size, she will order it and the money for your purchase gets taken from your paycheck!  When it comes in, she will notify you and send it to your location!  It's so simple!

ACCOUNTABILITY

Answering to Our Relationships

Serving the community in and around the Brazos Valley is important to our mission. It creates an accountability and trust beyond just our patients. People see us leading bingo, doing a drive thru lunch for the local seniors with  American Agency on Aging, teaching a craft, giving a presentation on Hospice 101, having a blood drive in Brenham. Our brand Hospice Brazos Valley becomes more solid to our community, and creates accountability.

RESPECT

of feelings, rights, & traditions of others

HBV respects the feelings, rights and traditions of others by putting together a comprehensive admissions book every 2 years.  The newest one is hot off the presses!  We thank our 10 sponsors who made this beautiful, color admissions book possible:

Brenham Memorial Chapel

Hillier Funeral Home

Rhodes Financial

Callaway-Jones Funeral & Cremation Services

Choate Monument Company

The Payne Law Group

Trevino-Smith Funeral Home

College Station Monument, LLC

Hampton Inn College Station

Marilyn Moore, About Town Realty

One of these sponsors told our marketing team, "the admissions book is a great organization tool for patients and their families. It's so much better than a bunch of papers in a folder to prepare for end of life challenges."

EXCELLENCE

Advancing and Reshaping End of Life Care

The Month of June is CNA Appreciation Month. Our Rockstar Hospice Care Aides, aka, HCA's/CNAs, were asked to fill out a questionnaire and then featured on social media with a campaign called "Rockstar HCA's."  Each story which was featured on the HBV Facebook page focused on an attribute of excellence.  Some stories were very personal about what our team has experienced in their careers.

Many thanks to all who participated!
