GRIEF
SUPPORT
We are here to walk alongside you during your time of grief. As the only non-profit hospice, Hospice Brazos Valley offers an enhanced level of grief support services and resources to help those grieving the loss of a loved one. These programs are led by Hospice Brazos Valley Bereavement Coordinators, who are experts at helping to heal grieving hearts.
Community support allows these grief support groups and events to be open to the public at no cost to attend. We invite you to participate in a grief support group or event.
Should your schedule not permit your attendance, please view our list of free grief support resources available when you are.
ALL ARE INVITED
All support resources, groups, and programs are offered at no cost and are open to the public thanks to generous community support. Many of our support groups welcome
both those who wish to attend regularly or those who drop in and listen.

HOSPICE
CHAPLAINS
Hospice chaplains seek to provide spiritual, emotional, and relational support to our patients & families to enhance their quality of life. Chaplains are a unique member of the hospice team that meets you where you are, to support you in the ways that you desire most. If you are a member of a church or religious family, chaplains can offer an additional layer of support. While your pastor/spiritual leader is like your primary care physician, hospice chaplains are like specialists, trained to walk you through this unique journey.

ABOVE & BEYOND SUPPORT
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that a hospice must make bereavement services available to a patient's family for up to one year following the death of a patient. However, Hospice Brazos Valley goes above & beyond this minimum requirement offering bereavement services for 18 months following the death of a patient. This support is provided through regular correspondence by mail, phone calls, one-on-one counseling, and a variety of grief support groups and classes. In addition, our grief support offerings are open to the public and are no cost to attend. Hospice Brazos Valley routinely provides grief support services to workplaces, schools, churches, or civic groups. Simply contact the office nearest you to schedule.
