What is Hospice Care?
Hospice care provides medical services, emotional support and spiritual resources for individuals with a life-limiting illness so they can live as fully and comfortably as possible at the end of their life. Hospice care also helps family members manage the practical details and emotional challenges of caring for a loved one at the end-of-life.
Why choose hospice care?
The goal of hospice care is to keep our patients comfortable and improve their quality of life so the patient can be as alert and pain-free as possible. Hospice services are not intended to speed up or prolong this process but focus instead on relieving pain and other symptoms in the home and/or inpatient care (if needed), to provide spiritual care that's designed specifically around your needs, to provide respite care which allows friends and family some time away from care-giving and to provide bereavement care for surviving loved ones to help them through the grieving process.
