About Hospice Brazos Valley

Hospice Mission Statement:

HBV is a non-profit health care organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of central Texas residents who have a terminal or chronic illness. We strive to prevent and alleviate pain and suffering. We provide the highest quality services to patients and families through professional care guided by calming compassionate values and delivered by an experienced Palliative Care Team. Our collaborative relationships are energized by our commitment to patient advocacy and palliative medical education.

Hospice Philosophy:

The purpose of hospice is to provide support and care for people in the final phase of a terminal disease so that they can live as fully and comfortably as possible.

The goals of care are accomplished through a comprehensive, individualized plan including medical care for the patient and emotional and spiritual support for the patient and entire family.

End-of-life care is provided to those in need without regard to race, age, faith, or ability to pay for services.

Hospice affirms life and regards dying as a normal process.

Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death.

Through personalized services and a caring community, Hospice assists patients and families in achieving their end-of-life goals.
